MINDS FOR DESIGN
Do you want to change the world? Minds for Design – Engineering Series challenges you to sharpen your math, science and technology skills as you discover engineering. You will work in groups on various engineering projects ranging from building simple electrical circuits to engineering your own invention. You don’t have to be great at science, or know anything about engineering or even be a Girl Scout! Just come to be bold, inventive, creative and awesome!
The Minds for Design – Engineering Series is funded in part by a grant from the United States Department of Education.
During this five-day workshop, you will learn about the design process, create electrical circuits, conduct material engineering experiments and design and build your own invention. You’ll have the opportunity to tour Sherman Hospital’s new geothermal lake and learn how this environmental resource heats and cools the new hospital.
