Cruises Extended Through September

ROCKFORD, IL – Rockford Park District has extended the Forest City Queen’s riverboat cruises through September. The cruises provide passengers with interesting information about Rockford’s history with a glimpse of some of the most stately homes located along the Rock River, and are one of the many low-fee activities the Park District offers the community. The lunch and dinner cruises aboard the Forest City Queen riverboat offer a variety of dining options for all ages.

Fall General Cruise Schedule and Rates (approximately 60 minutes)
Saturdays & Sundays: September 12-September 27, depart Noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.
Children (age 4 and under): FREE
Youth (ages 5-17): $4.50 ($5.00 non-resident)
Adults (age 18+): $5.50 ($6.00 non-resident)
Groups (per individual*): $4.00 ($4.50 non resident)
*Group rate fees apply for 10 or more paid individuals

Fall Meal Cruise Schedule
• Wednesday Family Fun Night Cruises September 2-September 30 (no cruise Sept. 4), 6:00-8:00 p.m.
• Friday Grab 'N Go 30-Minute Lunch Cruises September 11-September 25, depart 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 1:00 p.m.
• Friday Night Fish Fry Cruises September 11-September 25, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
• Saturday Evening Sunset Dinner Cruise September 19, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Fall Dinner Rates
(Prices below for Wednesday dinner and Friday lunch are in addition to ride fees, which vary according to age and residency.)
• Wednesday dinner $10 large one-topping pizza; $12 extra-large 1 topping pizza
• Friday lunch $5 hot dog or burger boxed lunch; $5.50 grilled chicken boxed lunch
• Friday fish fry $21 (includes ride fee)
• Saturday dinner $21 for vegetarian pasta; $26 for prime rib (both include ride fee)

Cruises depart from the dock near the Trolley Station at the south end of Riverview Park, 324 N. Madison St.; the Station phone number is 815-987-8894. Advance reservations are required at least three days in advance for all meal rides except Friday Grab 'N Go Lunch rides (lunch rides are first come, first served.) For reservations, call 815-987-1685.
