I am very excited about the upcoming year of speech and debate. Our preparations for the coming year are coming together very nicely.
The next and final family information meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 4th at 2:00 at The Chapel. If you have signed up for the club or if you are interested in joining the club but you were not able to attend the previous meeting, I believe it would be beneficial to attend this meeting.
The registration deadline has been set for August 15th. You may register at the information meeting or I could e-mail a registration form to you.
Finally, we will offer a one day novice debate camp on Tuesday, September 8th from 9-4. This is a mandatory camp for all students who are signed up for the senior debate club unless they have attended another debate camp over the summer. However, all club members who are 12 and older are invited to attend this camp even if they are not signed up for debate. I believe attending this camp would be a nice way of exposing students to the wonderful world of team policy debate.
First day of club: Tuesday, September 15th!
