College Application Success Camp 2009

Mark your calendars for Carpe Vitae’s College Application Success Camp 2009 on either June 29 – July 2 (10 am – 2 pm daily) or August 3 – 6 (1 pm – 5 pm daily).

What is College Success Camp?
At College Success Camp we provide more than just tips and advice on the myriad of college admission issues. We offer your student a solid program designed to provide them and you with the knowledge and skills to develop well thought plans for success in choosing, applying and gaining admission to the right college; then preparing for success in their college education.

At College Success Camp 2009 students will…
Get the edge by having your essays critiqued by college professors and admissions advisors who have read hundreds of admission essays and know what makes a good college admission’s essay and what doesn’t.

Prioritize what they want in and from a college.

Learn how to integrate CLEP or AP testing into your college plan.

Learn how to get the most out of college fairs.

Learn how to make college visits and interviews really count by asking the right questions to the right people

Feel at ease as they start their senior year with college application essays virtually done!

In just a few hours a day…
Your student will have his/her college applications ready to go so when fall comes you’ll both be ready to focus on scholarships and aid packages.

Dr. Robb Frank …
Dr. Robb Frank is the founder of Carpe Vitae a coaching and consulting practice in the western suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Frank’s role as leader of College Application Success Camp is to employ his expertise as a leader, mentor, taskmaster, encourager, motivator, and resource for students as they grapple with the college choice and application processes. With degrees in Administration, Leadership, Counseling and Education his “generalist” background lends itself well to working with a wide range of students. He is currently on the faculties of DePaul University and College of DuPage. In 2006 he was chosen as Outstanding Faculty Advisor by College of DuPage students.

Dr Frank has worked with homeschoolers for 13 years as an administrator and professor at College of DuPage. He has helped them make the transition to college through admissions advising, course selection, fitting CLEP and AP exams into their course plan, courses taught in college student success skills, and through the student leadership program. Some of his homeschool students has even participated in his European Leadership Exchange with colleges in the Netherlands, with travel throughout Europe.Dr Frank understands the unique learning styles of homeschool students and has helped students and their families find success in a traditional college setting.Additionally, he offers individual and group coaching for students making the transition from a high school to a college.
